Damien Hardy


Damien Hardy Damien was raised in Oahu, Hawaii where he learned and started playing volleyball in high school. He proceeded to play college ball at University of Hawaii. He has been living on the mainland, in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past two years.

His coaching career spans 22 plus years. Damien coached high school boys at Kamehameha High School where his teams won 6 league titles and 2 State titles. At the NCAA level, he coached at Hawaii Pacific University which included 6 conference championships and 2 National championship titles. Damien has also coached club volleyball with Muanalani Volleyball Club which included two Junior Olympic Bronze Medal finishes in the Open Division. He is currently the varsity head coach at Sacred Heart Prep.

Damien is interested in and enjoys playing all types of sports especially surfing! An avid follower of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Damien can be heard relaxing to Hawaiian and reggae music. He also enjoys cooking and eating anything. Well, everything except peas. He has three kids, Aaron, Kawaii and 'Alohi.

Diana Douglas


Diana Douglas A local California girl, Diana grew up on the peninsula in Woodside and went to Woodside High School. She would move on to the sunny beaches of Southern California where she recently graduated with a BA in Life Science: Psychology at UCLA and is currently preparing for post graduate studies.

Diana was a four year varsity player at Woodside High School where she played as an outside hitter and earned all-league honors during all four years including Peninsula Bay League MVP honors in 2003 and 2004. She earned CCS State Honorable Mentions as a junior and senior. Diana played club volleyball for City Beach, Golden Bear and Vision. Her club teams qualified for the Junior Olympics in four of the last five years. Diana also played with the US A-3 National Team. In college, Diana played on the UCLA Volleyball team as a defensive specialist and received the Most Improved Player honors after her sophomore year. She is currently coaching the Sacred Heart Prep JV team.

This will be Diana's second season coaching club volleyball and first at Payes Performance. In 2009, she coached the Sunshine 13 Crimson team based out of Los Angeles which earned a National Bid at Junior Olympics in Miami, Florida. When she is not on the hardwood or sand court, Diana likes to play around with her microscope as well as enjoy a fine meal at Celia's Mexican food or Yogurt Land when she is in Southern California. Her favorite place outside of California is Hana on the island of Maui, Hawaii.

Robin John Rosales


Robin John Rosales Robin grew up in Redwood City and went to UCSB where he graduated with a BA in Political Science. He is a video game industry veteran working in the business development, sales, marketing and PR fields for companies including PC Gamer, PlayStation Magazine, the Microsoft Xbox launch and Ubisoft. He is currently handling advertising sales for the mobile games site Wireless Gaming World and the PR Manager at the games portal site ijji.com - NHN USA.

Robin enters his fifth year with Paye's Performance Volleyball Club. Thoroughly passionate about volleyball he has coached and/or assisted at various age levels including the Varsity team at Woodside High School the past five years where they are back to back PAL League Champions. In 2008, Robin's 13 Black Team earned a National bid for the Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas and in 2009, his 14 Black team earned an Open Divison bid in Miami, Florida which finished in the Top 20 in the nation and the top ranked 14s team in Northern California. He is currently coaching at Sacred Heart Prep.

When he is not on a volleyball court, Robin enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Sally. Other interests include participating in various sports, traveling, collecting souvenir and GIANT items, photography, web design, and working on his sports apparel start up Firebird Sports which he co-founded.

Lauren Quach


Lauren Quach Lauren is currently a senior at University of San Francisco, where she will graduate in Spring of 2010 with a degree in Business Administration. This past summer, Lauren completed her third year internship with Target in-store. She will return to work full time for the company upon her graduation. She currently plays for the Volleyball team at USF.

This will be Lauren's fourth year coaching with Paye's Performance. She coached the 14 Black Team in 2007 which competed at the Junior Olympics in Minneapolis, MN, the 13 Black Team in 2008 that played at the Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas, and the 14 Cardinal Team in 2009 that completed a strong season in the Gold Bracket. This year, Lauren will be leading the 15 Cardinal Team with Jena.

Lauren is finishing her last season at USF (member of the West Coast Conference). Previously, she played 3 years of college volleyball at Notre Dame de Namur (2nd Team All PacWest Libero), 4 years of high school volleyball (2 year varsity player) at Saint Ignatius College Prep as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. She received the Fighting Spirit Award her senior year. As a proud SI graduate, she has also given back to her school by coaching their boys volleyball program during the 2005 and 2006 seasons. Lauren spent her junior volleyball club career with Slainte and S.F. Juniors.

Jena Lewis


Jena Lewis Jena is currently a Junior at Cal State East Bay majoring in Business Administration. This will be Jena's third year coaching club volleyball and second year coaching at Paye's Performance. She coached Paye's Performance 14 Cardinal team which finished in the NCVA Gold Division. This club season she will be coaching the 15 Cardinal team.

Jena has been playing volleyball for over 10 years. Her career includes 4 years of high school volleyball at St. Patrick St. Vincent High School in Vallejo, CA, as a middle hitter and defensive specialist. Jena played club at Golden Bear Volleyball Club and Club Solano. She also played internationally on the High Performance team representing Northern California in the Global Challenge in Maribor, Slovenia in 2006. Jena played 2 years of volleyball at Notre Dame de Namur University as a middle and right side hitter. She is currently the Head JV Volleyball Coach at St. Mary's College High School in Berkeley, CA.

In her free time she likes to shop, travel, and hang out at the beach. She loves spending time with her family and friends and can’t live without Starbucks!

Marietta Flynn


Marietta Flynn Marietta was born and raised in New Albany, IN & Louisville, KY. She was a 2003 graduate of New Albany High School and a four-year varsity player on her nationally-ranked volleyball team as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. As the team's captain her senior year, Marietta help lead her team to a 28-3 record earning MVP honors and the Overall Top Female Athlete Award. In her graduating class of 700 students, she was recognized as the Top Scholar-Athlete. She also won the Gold Medal at the 2000 USA Volleyball Junior Olympics playing for Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA).

Marietta attended Santa Clara University and graduated with Honors in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. She played Libero during her college career as she trained with the varsity volleyball team and in her junior and senior year, joined the SCU club team that finished 5th at Nationals in 2006 and was League Champions in 2007. She currently works as a Senior Auditor for Ernst & Young in Palo Alto, CA.

Marietta has spent several years assisting with numerous camps and clinics. This will be Marietta's second year coaching for Paye's Performance. She coached the 14 Black Team in 2008/2009 who won the Gold Division Regional Championship and competed in the Junior Olympics Open Division in Miami, FL. This year, Marietta will be the head coach for 14 Black. In her spare time, she enjoys watching sports, shopping, and singing!


14 Black (Assistant Coach)

Sarah Bagaman


Sarah Bagaman Sarah is entering her third year of coaching club volleyball. This year will be her second year at Paye's. She is currently the head coach for the Freshman volleyball team at St. Mary's College High School in Berkeley. In past seasons Sarah coached Slainte 13-1 and last season coached Paye's Performance 14-1 Black team which had a very successful season and made it to the Junior Olympics with an Open bid. She's very excited to be coaching at the 14's age group again and is anticipating another great season at Paye's!

Sarah is currently a junior at California State University East Bay and is pursuing a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. She attended Notre Dame de Namur University for her first two years of college and was a member of the NCAA Division II volleyball team. Sarah went to Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep in San Francisco and played volleyball in the competitive West Catholic Athletic League. Her high school team was recognized as CCS Champions and she received All-WCAL honors in both her junior and senior year. Her team also won the Academic Award for the region every year. She was an outside hitter in high school and a libero for college.

When Sarah isn't coaching volleyball she's busy working as a make up artist for Clinique Cosmetics. Sarah also enjoys shopping, hanging out with friends, working out, sleeping, and eating as much Japanese food as possible!

Mia Ortiz


Mia Ortiz A Bay Area native, Mia was born and raised in Redwood City and went to Woodside High School. She is currently a sophomore attending Menlo College and plans to graduate in 2011.

Mia returns to coach her third season with Payes Performance where she will head coach the 14 Cardinal team. Mia was a four year Varsity volleyball starter at Woodside High School where she was named on the 2nd team all-league her freshman, sophomore, and junior year and chosen on 1st team all league her senior year. Mia played club volleyball at Vision, Yahoo, and City Beach and is currently playing volleyball at Menlo College as an outside hitter and opposite hitter.

Mia's other passion is soccer, which she played both club and Varsity soccer. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. In her free time, she thoroughly enjoys shopping especially for shoes and in the future would like to experience living in Europe.

Scott Mar


Scott Mar
A sports fanatic, Scott enjoys participating in numerous sports besides volleyball including playing in various leagues around the bay area for sports including softball, badminton and bowling as well dabbling in extreme sports such as snowboarding, wakeboarding and white water rafting.

Scott has coached both the JV and Varsity Volleyball teams at El Camino High School on and off for the past 8 years. He helped coach the Payes 16 Black team last season and returns to Paye's Performance to help coach Payes 15 Black for the 2009 season.

He enjoys spending his free time hanging out with his family. He also enjoys watching comedy concerts and his favorite performers includes Carlos Mencia, Russell Peters, Chris Rock and Dane Cook.

Colleen Carey


Colleen Cary Colleen grew up in Palo Alto and graduated from Palo Alto High School in 2003. Along the way, she played for a few clubs including Vision and Golden Bear. She attended the University of Delaware and graduated in 2007 with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. During her college career, she played on the Varsity team and then the Club team at UD. Colleen is currently a Clinical Laboratory Scientist at a startup company called CardioDx in Palo Alto. Colleen was the JV Head Coach and a Varsity Assistant Coach at Gunn High School this fall, and hopes to continue coaching the Titans for many years.

This will be Colleen's fourth club season as a coach, and second at Paye's Performance. Her 12s team last year was the Runner Up at Power League Regional Finals, and qualified for the Junior Olympics in Miami, FL. In her days back East, she was an assistant coach and then a head coach for Brandywine Volleyball Club 16s teams out of Wilmington, DE.

Off the court, Colleen enjoys the company of her friends and family. She also loves playing with her chocolate lab puppy Toby who has a lot of energy! Some random things Colleen likes are camping, pedicures, a good book, and nerdy jokes. Go Paye's!


13 Black (Assistant Coach)

Racquel "Rocky" Villalobos


Rocky - Pic Coming Soon Rocky was born in El Paso, TX, and raised in Anthony, NM and is currently a junior at Menlo College where she is studying to become a physical therapist.

This will be Rocky's first year at Paye's Performance where she will be coaching the 13 Black team. She was a setter on the Varsity team at Gadsden High School, which included winning the District Championship and a trip to the State Finals, (the first time Gadsen High School has made it in 25 years). Rocky was named on the All-District First Team. She played club volleyball with the Diamondbacks and attended and played volleyball at Eastern Arizona College for two years before transferring to Menlo College where her team just clinched the Cal Pac Championship.

Volleyball IS Rocky's favorite hobby!!! She also enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and camping, and is an art and music lover. When she is not in class or at a game, she enjoys sleeping in on the weekends or any other day for that matter.

Camille Board


Camille Board Camille is a peninsula local, born and raised in Redwood City. She is currently studying at Academy of Art University in San Francisco majoring in Multimedia Communications and is looking towards a career in journalism as a sports broadcaster.

She played volleyball at Notre Dame High School in Belmont and was instrumental in helping her team win a CCS Division III championship. Camille played club volleyball for Vision and Hang Ten and her teams made multiple Junior Olympic appearances. In college, she played a year at UCSB her freshman year, and is currently a middle blocker at Academy of Art University - San Francisco.

Camille has coached at Sacred Heart Prep and is looking to her first year coaching club volleyball. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach and shopping.

Jill Singletary


Jill Singletary

Jill was raised in the Midwest in Chicago, Illinois. She is currently majoring in Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.

In high school, Jill played at Valley Christian High School where she was team captain her junior and senior years. She played club volleyball at Hang Ten and in college at Academy of Art University - San Francisco, Jill is playing Opposite - Right Side Hitter.

Jill enjoys relaxing and spending time with family and friends, painting, traveling and shopping. She looks forward to traveling the world and becoming a designer.




12 Black (Head Coach)

David Huan


David Huan A transplant from Southern California, David attended and earned his degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2002, and has enjoyed living in Northern California ever since.

Professionally, Dave serves as a Mathematics Instructor at a program for gifted youth based out of Stanford University. In his spare time, he also serves as an S.A.T. Tutor, and works in Sports Investment Analysis, as well as in Business Development.

Dave has coached volleyball successfully at every age level. Over his last 4 club seasons he has coached 5 teams to the Junior Olympics. Most recently, he helped the City Beach 16-Black team earn a Bronze Medal at 16-Open last year at the Junior Olympics in Miami Beach, FL. He is currently coaching at St. Francis High School and is looking forward to working with another terrific group of athletes.


12 Black (Assistant Coach)

Lawrence Dudash


Lawrence Dudash Born and raised in Half Moon Bay, Lawrence loves the coastal life of surfing, hiking, fishing, and beach volleyball. He played volleyball for the UC Davis Aggies as a setter/right side hitter, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, and now owns his own accounting & database consulting firm.

He is passionate about volleyball, thrives on competition, and the challenge of creating great volleyball teams. He has shown a successful record of taking four teams to Junior Olympics in five years.

Lawrence is the Club Director of Payes Performance VBC and is the Assistant Coach of the Power 12-1 team.

Other interests for Lawrence include cooking, traveling, and the occasional ski trip to Lake Tahoe. Most importantly, he loves spending as much time as possible with his lovely wife Janet and two daughters Samantha and Natasha.

Kelly Burke


Kelly Burke
Kelly is currently a senior at San Francisco State and majoring in Recreation Management and hopes to continue her work with the community.

This is Kelly's third year coaching at Paye's Performance after coaching the 15s team in 2007 and helping coach the 15s in 2008 which won a national bid to the Junior Olympics in 2008 in Dallas, TX. She was a 4 year varsity player at Sequoia High School and played as an outside hitter at Canada College / Skyline College Volleyball and the San Francisco State Volleyball team.

When she is not coaching or playing volleyball, she works as a lifeguard, enjoys going out with friends, works out, and spends time with her family. She is looking forward to a great season with Paye's Performance again this year!



Anne Ulrich


Anne Ulrich Anne Ulrich was born and raised in Central Illinois and relocated to the Bay Area just over 5 years ago. Anne's volleyball career started in the small town of Washburn, IL where she was a 4 year Varsity starter. Anne spent the first 2 years of her collegiate career at Illinois Central College where her team finished 5th & 9th at the National Junior College Athletic Association Championships. She then continued her career at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville and helped lead her team to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16. Anne stayed on at SIUE for an additional 2 years and completed her Master’s Degree in Education.

Since moving to California, Anne has continued her involvement in volleyball through coaching and playing. Anne has been the Assistant Varsity Coach at Notre Dame Belmont for the past 5 seasons. When not coaching, Anne continues to play in indoor adult volleyball leagues and on the beach. Anne competed in several CBVA tournaments this past summer and received her 'AA' rating.

Professionally, Anne works in the Insurance industry as a Learning & Development Specialist. In her free time she enjoys watching sports, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.



Kathryn Caselli


Kathryn Caselli Kathryn was born in San Mateo and grew up in Foster City. She went to Notre Dame High School in Belmont and went to University of Arizona and is now at Canada College where she eventually wants to major in Communications (Public Relations) and minor in Business.

She played volleyball at Notre Dame for four years, two years at the Varsity level and played for club teams including Hang Ten, PJV and Quake where she played as an outside hitter and libero.

Kathryn is currently coaching the Freshman team at Notre Dame and looks forward to coaching club volleyball.



Rachel Halen


Rachel Hal Rachel has coached elementary school age girls for the last six years from 4th grade to 8th grade. She is currently coaching both 4th and 6th grade at St. Timothy School where she is the volleyball commissioner. She has also developed summer camps and weekly clinics focusing on fundamentals and game strategy. She is looking forward to passing on her love of the game to her team.

Rachel grew up in Southern California playing four years of varsity volleyball on her high school team as a middle blocker. She was named All CIF Southern Section and league MVP her senior year and had the nickname "The Whip." Rachel played one year of volleyball at Cal State Long Beach as an outside hitter before transferring to Cal Poly Pomona and majoring in Business Administration.

When Rachel is not coaching her interests are wine tasting, cooking, and taking her dog for long walks. She especially enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters Samantha and Danielle.



Joe Reich


Joe Reich Joe is a lifetime resident of the Bay Area, living in Redwood City the past 6 years. He attended San Francisco State University before leaving and entering the Fire Department. He went back to San Jose State to complete his degree in Business Administration. He enjoys his career with the San Jose Fire Dept, working there for the past 21 years, the last 11 years as Captain working on Truck 9.

He played high school football and baseball for four years with one year at Skyline Junior College. Joe got into playing volleyball while at the fire department and participated in the Fire Fighters Olympics, as well as playing in adult tournaments in both indoor and sand. He loves to coach kids and has been coaching sports at St Pius School for the last three years, in addition to baseball for five years years and soccer for two years. Joe is also his sons cub scouts den leader and cub master.

Joe is married for 15 plus years to Carolyn and has two children, Kendall 12 years old and Rylan 9 years old both of whom attend St Pius School in Redwood City. He loves playing all types of sports and would much rather play than watch sports on TV. If he is not coaching volleyball or baseball he enjoys being on the ski slopes in either Utah or Colorado. Joe likes to spend as much time with his family or helping people in San Jose when he is on calls.
